We are delighted to announce that LIHAY BENDAYAN, the Head of the Violin Department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music, a member of the Swiss-Chinese Law Association, will perform J.S Bach, Allemande (3 minutes), from the Partita No. 2 in D minor for violin solo for all attendees at the upcoming SCLA | OCL Shanghai Night this Friday in D minor for violin solo.
Lihay Bendayan is an Israeli and Swiss violinist. He is the director of the violin class at the prestigious Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he served as head of the string department and as head of the performing arts department. Lihay Bendayanyan’s talent was discovered at the age of 9 by Isaac Stern, a talented violinist who recommended him to Ilona Feher. Lihay Bendayan became Feher’s youngest and last pupil. After her death, he studied with the Hungarian virtuoso Tibor Varga in Switzerland and the American prodigy Miriam Solovieff in Paris. Professor Lihay Bendayan combined his career as a performer with a rich academic activity. He was regularly invited to give master classes at the most prestigious universities in Europe, such as the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, the Royal College of Music, KMH in Stockholm, the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, the Hochschules in Heidelberg and Würzburg, Germany, and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Hochschules and London – Master Class Series, Bavarian Academy of Music in Hamelburg, Musical Academy in France, etc. His students come from all over the world, serve in important positions, and have won prizes in international competitions.
