Swiss-Chinese Law Association and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Agree on Strategic Cooperation for the 15th Ministerial Conference

On September 11, 2020, the Swiss-Chinese Law Association (SCLA) Board of Directors met with high-level officials from the Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to reach a strategic cooperation agreement on the upcoming 15th quadrennial ministerial conference to be held in Barbados from April 25 to 30, 2021.

SCLA will fully support the 15th UNCTAD Ministerial Conference, including sponsoring the conference and assisting in the extensive and in-depth promotion. At the same time, SCLA was invited to host side events related to the conference’s theme.

We are delighted to see the progress made by SCLA in the past year and welcome SCLA’s participation in this endeavor,” said Ms. Danielle Ella, Director of Outreach, Office of the Secretary-General. Ms. Lin Dewen and Mr. Zhang Tianze, representatives of SCLA, noted that the United Nations Conference on Trade Development (UNCTAD) had provided critical assistance to SCLA since its establishment. We cherish and value this friendship is honored to participate in the relevant work. We will sincerely cooperate with UNCTAD in the future.
